Playing with Home Assistant with AI nad Home Assistant Voice Preview Edition. Successfully taught it how to answer questions about weather, control a few smart home devices. And I needed it to send me message over SimpleX Chat (like when I wake up in the middle of a night, want to note something and go to sleep, I don't want to touch a device, so I just say Okay Nabu, send me a message...).
Currently using it with Venice - I contribute to the integration a bit, I have two pull requests open, and with ollama as well. Both work, Venice is faster (but inference in the cloud, vs. ollama works without internet and no surveillance).
Speech to tech, Text to Speech and Ollama run on mac mini, HA itself is on Linux.
SimpleX integration is through their web socket API.
Is anyone interested in this? Should I put the integration in HACS and/or write about it? I am satisfied that it works for me (and I publish everything as FOSS).
