How to onboard the first billion people to Bitcoin (lightning)?
I have recently written an article about a strategy that would be non-custodial, semi-decentralized and does not rely on any soft-forks or updates to protocols, can be implemented today and will solve the fees issue right now. People can manage how decentralized they want to be.
Not everyone got why the bridge would be trustless and how would it look in practice, so I added another explanatory section to my blog called "How does it work in practice?"
This would be especially useful for both merchants (otherwise they need incoming liquidity, this way they could just splice-in new funds with each payment) and end users, who would not need to rely on custodial wallets.
